The promotion committee

The CALEAMI project is the result of synergies between the Federation of Entities offering Assisted Projects and Apartments (Federació d’Entitats amb Projectes i Pisos Assistits – FEPA) and the Autonomous University of Barcelona Research Group on Children and Adolescents in Risk (Infància i Adolescència en Risc – IARS).

The Federation of Entities offering Assisted Projects and Apartments is the benchmark organization in Spain in the field of foster children and youth, care leavers or children and youth without family support. The entities that are part of the FEPA develop projects aimed at satisfying the needs of these youth (FEPA, 2017).

On the other hand, the Autonomous University of Barcelona Research Group on Children and Adolescents in Risk is an interdisciplinary and interuniversity Research Group aiming to contribute, from research, to improve the attention to children and adolescents in social risk situations. The group consists of academics and professionals who want to provide the different professionals and policy-makers who work daily in the field of children and adolescents in risk with support from empirical evidence.

The leading promotion committee comprises the FEPA heads, social workers working with youth at entities of the Federation, care leavers, and researchers from the IARS Research Group.

The advisory board

The advisory board is responsible for providing the promotion committee with support and counseling in the phases of the project. For a greater contribution, the advisory board is formed by different professional profiles. It comprises social workers working with foster children and youth, care leavers, entities responsible representatives, decision makers, and academics.

The collaboration in the advisory board is temporary. Its participation is limited to three specific moments within the project and it is embodied to the next tasks, which are linked to the different phases of the project:

Phase 1

Advise on the research project design.

Phase 2

Validate the information gathering tools.

Phase 3

 Assess the discussion group’s results.

Phase 4
